Reduce the need for Mental Calculus with the 17 day diet meal plan
The 17 day diet meal plan designed by Dr. Mike Moreno has made the media rounds so many people have heard about it and the concept is an exciting one, but not many people understand how it works. It is really pretty easy to understand the gist of it, and once you do get the details then the excitement really builds!
Dr. Moreno has worked with many patients who have weight issues and dietary problems that really don’t help them at all. So, he decided he needed to create a workable plan that required a lot less thought and a little more action.
Instead of concentrating on numbers such as points, calories, and the terrible scales, clients and patients could concentrate on what they are allowed to eat and how much activity they need to include in their day for successful weight loss. The 17 day diet meal plan is created to make the planning simple and doable. Each 17 day cycle is laid out with simple and clear instructions and the time frame for work outs are clear too.
Here are the basics of the plan in a nutshell. Please refer to Dr. Moreno’s book and website for more detailed information to help you set your plan in motion.
- Cycles 1 through 3 last for 17 days each. The first cycle reduces calories to 1200 per day but allows one to eat as much lean protein as one desires along with 64 oz. of water per day. There are restrictions on certain foods you can learn more about in the book and on the website. Each cycle will allow a person to lose weight in decreasing increments from 10 lbs. in Cycle 1 to 3 lbs. in Cycle 3 as the dieter becomes used to the lifestyle eating plan.
- Cycle 4 is the maintenance cycle in which the dieter will stay on a level calorie course. However, if a person should gain 5 lbs. or more they can go back to the previous cycles to get back on track. Also, if a person does not achieve their goal weight they can go back to one of the previous cycles until they reach their goal and then maintain at Cycle 4.
Of course, exercise is an important part of healthy weight loss. Dr. Moreno advises dieters who use the 17 day diet meal plan to perform 17 minutes of exercise per day during cycles 1 and 2. Cycle 3 increase the time to 40 to 60 minutes of aerobic exercise 2 -3 days a week, and then in Cycle 4 they will add one hour during the weekend.
The 17 day diet meal plan was created to help dieters trick their metabolism to go into overdrive to burn more calories and help the individuals achieve their goals without majoring in calculus. Losing weight is now easier to achieve without the mental confusion and anxiety that many dieters experience. Dr. Moreno has been endorsed by many people, including Dr. Phil, so you can feel assured that you will experience a safe and successful weight loss program.
